Hike

Every saturday morning after we eat breakfast, we start asking "what are we going to do today?"... Well today I said "lets go on a hike!" And ooohhhh my Shaylee was excited. So we packed a few snacks and drinks and we were off. We rode up the mountain she kept saying "are we there yet?" Finally when we got to where we were going, we hiked in about a mile then sat under a tree in a medow. Shaylee loved playing in the river and picking flowers to make a boquet. Rowdy did really well too, he was awake the whole time and just jabbered.

1st Big Boy Tub

Rowdy had his first big boy tub last week.. I know kind of sad that he is 7 months old before he gets in a real tub. But he hasn't been sitting up for long so I just kept him in the infant tub. He loves every minute and splashes like crazy! If you notice the poor little guys red eyes, he hasn't been feeling the greatest. Poor thing, I hate having sick babies.

7 Months Old

I cant believe my baby is already 7 months old. It makes me want to cry. He is growing up way to fast. He is the happiest little guy and always has a smile and a kiss for his mommy.

Things to remember about 7 months old:

*has 2 teeth

*rolls and scoots all over the floor

*still sucks a binki

* drinks 6 ounces and rice 3 times a day

*loves his sister and watching her play

*sits up

*gets up on all fours and rocks back and fourth

*loves the dogs and cats

*says Dadddaaa Daddaaa

* will totally chew me out Addaddda Abbahhh addaahhh!!! LOL

* loves to be in the little jumper thing, so he can stand and watch everthing going on

*when he wakes up, he doesnt cry just lays in his bed and talks

*loves baths (and still bathes in a infant tub and trust me he is way to BIG for it)

*always in the 95th-100th percentile for height, about 60th for weight, and well that head.... its the 90th LOL

*gives kisses

Shaylee

This little girl has become quite the little cowgirl lately, she shares her daddys love for horses. And even though she is only 3, she is riding this big horse. Most of the time she wants to ride it all by herself. With out daddy leading or riding with her. This makes mommy alittle nervous! (yes we were riding the horse in our backyard LOL)

I know I don't blog as much about her milestones as I should, but it's kind of hard to say where she is at. She has been speaking in full sentences for what seems like forever. We have full conversations every day. And she shocks me with what she knows and how big her imgaination is. Some funny things she's been saying lately is

*Mom? Are we going to keep that baby forever?

*Mom, why did you get married to my daddy? Where was I when you got married

* I had a dream lastnight that zeeker got ate by a bear. A soft and cuddly bear.

*Umm... Mommy, you just need to text Hayley and see if Emmy can play.

*Give me the computer so I can check my facebook. LOL

I just love this little girl, she keeps me on my toes. She is super smart and knows how to count to 15, all her shapes (even some random ones), all colors, can say and reconize the ABC's, can play a computer game like no other.. This fall she will be going to preschool and probably dance or cheer class. And she is soooo excited! Love you Shay Boom

2 bottom teeth and sitting up

My baby is growing to fast.. He now has 2 bottom teeth the second one popped through on August 6th. And he is starting to sit up. I do put some blankets behind him because he tends to tip over after alot LOL, but it's cute to see him sitting up and playing with toys.

Going for Rides

Since Beaver can get a little boring, we spend alot of days going for rides on the mountain! The kids love it, and it's better then just sitting around the house. On this ride, Shaylee got to sit on top of the tool box for a little bit. She was loving it!

Summer

Knowing our summer days are numbered, we spend almost our entire days outside... Usually this time of year, I start looking forward to fall.. Well not this year, our nights are already getting colder and I'm not to happy about it! It feels like summer just started. One of our average summer days usually goes..morning in the backyard playing in the dirt, lunch at the park, then the afternoon on the lawn playing in the water and riding the jeep. We hope it stays hot until October :)

Animals

Rowdy officially found our pets, and he LOVES them! Especially the cat, when he sees her he gets soooo excited and starts kicking and babbling at her. It's pretty darn cute!

While we took Rowdy up to Primary's. Shaylee hitched a ride down to St.George with my uncle Bobby.. And well, this is what she did.. Looks like she was having lots of fun. McDonalds play place and Swimming.. What more could a 3 year old ask for? She went down on Saturday and came back Monday afternoon. It worked out so nice so we could go to Rowdy's Doctor appointment and just focus on him.

I Took Rowdy to his 6 month baby well appointment on friday. Of course it was just a routine check up but as soon as Dr. Oakden was listening to Rowdy's heart I could tell by the look on his face there was something wrong. Then as he went over to his computer, searching through the files, He said "did we know Rowdy has a heart murmer?" ummm... NO! we didn't know that. So of course I was freaking out.

He wanted us to go up to primary's childrens hospital to see a pediatric cardiologist. So first thing Monday morning just happened to be our appointment (thankfully, but it was still a long weekend)

Ventricular Septal Defect- a fancy way of saying Rowdy has a small hole in his heart.. Kind of scary but the doctor said it will eventually close by it's self, just have to keep a eye on it. Still makes me nervous and worried for him. I just want him to be healthy and happy! We love you bubba!
