Dog Park

I guess St.George has dog park, and while Shaylee was down visiting Grandma and Papa, she got to visit it. Of course she LOVED it! She loves all animals, and since she's been home it's all she talks about!!

6 weeks

Rowdy is 6 weeks old, the time is flying by! He is a major chunker.. He's such a fun little baby. We've got a half smile out of him and a few coo's here and there. He loves his changing table for some reason and will always do his half smile when he's on there. We can't wait for the real smiles and "talkin".

Twenty-four

I feel old.. But yesterday was a great birthday! My mom surprised me and showed up in the morning. She brought a cake, presents, and balloons! Shaylee was soooo excited to help ice the cake and that Grandma Melanee was here. It was nice to have a babysitter too! Chase took me out to dinner at the timberline.. YUM! It was a really great day.

President's Day

Since today is President's Day, Chase had the day off work. So we decided to take a ride up the mountain and take Shaylee sledding. She loved it, Rowdy slept most of the time. I just sat in the truck with him and watched Shaylee and Chase sled. Of course she had to make snow angels too. She loves it! I'm ready for all this snow to melt and spring to come :) Then maybe I can stop being such a hermit, it's kind of hard to have a newborn in cold/flu season.

Happy Valentine's Day! These are my little Valentine's! And the hubby too :)

1 month old

Crazy how fast a month went by! And how big baby Rowdy already is. He's in the 90th percentile for weight and height!! He's such a fun baby and Shaylee loves him lots. Last week he weighed in at 10.5LBS. He is wearing 0-3 month clothes, drinks similac sensative, doesn't like the motion of the car, likes riding in the truck, eats every 2-3 hours, 4OZ bottles, gets impatient if you don't feed him fast enough, goes through 2 to 3 outfits a day because he pees ALOT, size 1 diapers, his first trip out of beaver was 2 days ago, we went to Monroe for Grandpa Gleave's birthday. Wow 1 month went by too fast!

Painting Project

On Saturday Shaylee decided she wanted to go over to grandma and grandpa Gleave's house, So we decided to paint her wall and letters while she was gone! She likes it alot, and it reminds me more of her old room, so I'm glad we did it.. Of course Shaylee had fun with her grandparents, she's been telling me all about it since she got home!

3 weeks old

A few facts:

3 weeks old. Weight: 9 LBS 13 OZ, that's almost 2 full pounds in 3 weeks. He's going to be a big boy! Height: 21 3/4 inches. Eats 4 oz every 2-4 hours. Breastfeeding and bottle feeding. Drinks Similac Sensative (like his sister). Likes a binky. Hardley ever cries, but moans and groans everytime he moves LOL. He's a really good baby!

I had to put on pictures of him with the green dog "scout" He LOVES scout, if he's crying or fussy at all we just put him by the dog and turn on the music and he just sits and stares at it for the longest time. It's adorable. We love this little guy!

New Room

Poor Shaylee's room has been neglected since we moved in.. Her dresser went into Rowdy's room and so all she had was a toddler bed. I was feeling bad for her, so when we went to order blinds in Cedar we went to the furniture store and got her a new bed, mattress, and dresser.. She love's it and is sleeping really well in it (hasn't fell out once). It's a good start. I'm hoping to paint the one wall light pink, and I still have to re-paint her letters. But for now I'm just glad we finally got her some furniture :)

2nd week

Rowdy is doing good, and already growing alot. He's out of newborn clothes and into 0-3. Even some 0-3 is too short already for him. He is a great baby and hardly cries. Still alittle mixed up between days and nights. He's waking up about 2 to 3 times a night, which I dont think is too bad. I had his pictures done last thursday. They turned out absolutely adorable! He looks so much like Shaylee did at this same age, it's crazy!! Shaylee is doing alot better with him, she loves him very much and is a big helper everyday. She loves to help bathe him and get him ready for the day. She chooses his blanket every morning.

Lots of people keep asking how the second baby is? And I have to say the second time around seems alot easier, maybe its that I'm a little less nervous with the newborn stage. I never want to put him down, so I'm sure he will be spoiled fast.

1st week

Rowdy's first week went good, he is a really good baby. Sleeps ALOT! We had lots of visits from both grandma's. And alot of people were so kind and brought food for us.. Shaylee was a little naughty for about a week, so that made it really hard. Luckily she's past that now, and doing so much better.

His first week he woke up every 2 hours at night, that was a little exausting. He had his umbilical cord on most of the week and a "bell" on (circumsision). I was glad when I was able to finally give him a real bath. He hardly ever cries only when he gets really hungry, but it takes a while to get him to that point. We just love him soooo much! I can't ever put him down. Chase calls me a baby hogger LOL.

Labor and Delivery

Well on 1/11/11 I had a Doctor's appointment, where I was still dialated to a 2 and 80%. So the doctor decided to "strip membranes" Not sure what that means, but it obviously worked. So after the doctor I went home feeling a little crampy, went to bed. And at 6:30 A.M. the next morning I woke up to a contraction. I had contractions all day long, 8 minutes apart, I couldn't get them any closer, but they remained steady. So at about 6 P.M. I decided to finally go to the hospital and see what they said. They hooked me to the machine and watched my contractions for about a hour.. Then the doctor came in and checked me, I was at a 4 1/2. So they decided to keep me there, Yay! I was soo ready LOL.

After that, it seemed to go fast. I was at a 6 fast, then he broke my water which made it go a little faster. I had my epidural and was feeling decent for a while. But for some reason the hard contractions were still painful.I was fully dialated for a while and they just let the baby come down naturally.. Then at midnight I began pushing (which was really painful) at this point I think I could feel it all and I was crying and yelling "get it out" LOL so luckily I only pushed for 22 minutes.. and at 12:22 A.M. on 1/13/11 our baby boy was born!!
