Mountain Ride

Today Chase got off work around noon, so we went to Ernies got some Chicken and we were off! Shaylee slept through the first half of the ride, then woke up to help look for the deer, elk, and Zebras (don't know where she came up with that.) We stopped at a little pond type thing where a whole bunch of fish live and she loved seeing all of them until her dad caught one with his hands and tried to get her to pet its head. LOL, then she wasn't to happy! She had fun and then of course fell back to sleep by the end of the ride! It took us a good couple of hours.

Summer In St.George

We spent about 4 weeks in St.George for the summer, Chase was working on a project down there. I've pretty much had a crappy summer due to the nausea and throwing up.. So it was nice to have a little help with Shaylee for the bad months.

One of Shaylee's favorite things to do every evening was to go outside and swim with Pepper! Since its so HOT down there the dogs need a pool too. Pepper loved having Shaylee swim with her, everytime she got out of the pool the dog would get out and wait for her to come back in!

My mom also thought it would be good to break out all my old Barbies! And Shaylee loved them. They made a huge mess though as you can see, so we will just leave that toy at Grandma's house :)

So yeah, as I said it was 4 weeks in St.George, and then Chase was sent to Cedar to work and they told him he could commute with a State truck either from St.George to Cedar or from Beaver to Cedar! SO of course we decided to go HOME! We are now renting a little duplex in town right by our old house.. We have been getting stuff ready to build a home! We are hopefully only a week or 2 away from breaking ground! It is quite the process, getting everything together.. I litterally picked all my stucco, rock, cabinets, paint, carpet, tile and everything else that goes into a house in a matter of 2 hours!! And trust me I have lost sleep over this, second guessing all my color choices and what not. But it's all been wrote down into a contract and it's comforting knowing that what I pick is what I get! So hopefully soon I will be able to post pictures of the house (if all goes well.) Keep your fingers crossed for us.

24th of July

Our favorite time of the year is the 24th of July. We orginally planned on going to Beaver for the celebration. But I wasn't really feeling to good so we just decided to stay and go to the parade and park in Washington. Clearly dressing your kids up for the 24th is a small town thing, I didn't see any other kids in red, white, and blue. LOL oh well she still looked cute! She had a fun time and that's all that matters, even if mom and dad were dying of heat stroke! haha

Well we finished packing up our house lastnight, everything we own is in a storage unit. We are officially HOMELESS. Chase was sent to St.George for the summer to train to test asphalt. So we decided it was maybe our chance to save a little money. We have never not paid rent or a morgage since we've been married so it's a little wierd 5 years later to move back in with family.. But luckily it's just for the summer! I think I can survive. Of course living in a small town, the rumors fly that we are down here permently which is absolutely false. If he just had the power to pick anywhere in the State of Utah and automatically have a job there, he would be in heaven (NOT that he would choose ST.GEORGE) I think we all know where he would choose ;) ANYWAY I hope that clears up somethings, we will for sure be back to Beaver by fall maybe a little earlier. Anyway Shaylee has been loving it down here we've been playing at the splash pad, pool, and anything that will keep us cool down here in this heat! After these past few months of selling our house and moving so much, I'm deffinitly ready to settle down and NOT move for a long time!

Announcing......

Well since I announced it on Facebook, I decided I should maybe let all our blogging friends know that BABY GLEAVE #2 is on the way! We are really excited. I went to the Doctor yesterday. I'm 13 weeks along. It had a good strong heartbeat, and everything is looking good so far :) Due January 20th.. Which seems like forever away. Hopefully it goes by fast :)

Potty Training Update

Well I think we can offically say that Shaylee is potty trained. And to my surprise it was super easy, she caught on to peeing in the potty sooo easily. Pooping has been a little struggle but I think she is getting the hang of it. She wears big girl panties all day long, even when she naps. She always wakes up dry. We still put a pull up on at night for her, and about half the time she is dry. I love not having to run to the store weekly for diapers, its so nice! And not to mention cheaper! Yay for Shay Shay! We are proud of our baby girl.

4th of July Camp Out!

Our annual Higgins campout went great this year! Shaylee had a blast seeing everyone she loves Bobby and Julee's family! And of course she had fun riding the 4-wheeler with papa! She kept saying after he left, "Where'd papa go, I want to look for rock chips ( AKA rock chucks)." We missed Grandma Melanee this year, due to her surgry last week! But Jenn and Josey also rode over for dinner lastnight, it was great to see them and baby Violet! I love camping but I also love coming home to a warm shower, which wasn't to warm today! I hope the water heater isnt broke! Happy 4th of July everyone!
