Send Me a Letter...

Today when we got the mail today, Shaylee had 2 letters in there and boy was she excited! She had a letter from her grandma Gleave, and a invitation to Grandpa Ron's Pumpkin Days. She is at such a fun age lately, and is loving school and cheer. She is really excited for Halloween and even more excited for Santa Clause to come! Which I'm sure will be here before we know it. We love this little girl!

Last week this little stinker began CRAWLING and STANDING up on stuff.. I'm in trouble now. He is a little handful, that is for sure. He loves cords, door stops, and any thing he can find to play with that he's not suppose to! Mom tells him "NO NO NO!" and he turns, looks at me, smiles then gets whatever it is I was saying NO too! LOL gotta love it.

Elmo

Some friends gave us this darling elmo costume. I'm just sad that it's to small and will be really small by Halloween.. Now I have to think of a different costume for him... Isn't he just the cutest little elmo you've ever seen?

First Field Trip

Shaylee's first class field trip was today. They went to the apple orchard! Of course, I was one of those crazy moms following her around taking pictures (maybe its inheirted) LOL anyway, it was lots of fun. She hardley knew I was there. The kids were loving all the apples, carrotts, grapes, beans, and cucumbers. And trust me they were all eating. She rarely tells me what she does in school. So it was nice to see for myself!

8 Months

Can't believe this little guy is 8 months old already.. He is so much fun and such a cute little man. Today he had to go to the doctors office, he had a bad ear infection, so I'm glad we can get him started on a antibiotic. Hopefully it will clear up fast.

Fun facts about 8 months old:

*says dada and once in a while baba.
*cries when his dad gets home from work and doesn't pick him up.

*can go from his tummy to a sitting position

*does 2 real crawls before dropping to his stomach and army crawling.

*loves shaylee, and laughs constantly at her

*bathes in a real tub

* eats 1 jar of fruit in the morning and 1 jar of veggie in the afternoon. Along with 2 large bowls of rice with each jar. (he's a oinker)

*drinks 6-8 oz bottles (similac sensative)

*drinks 2 large rice bottles a day (on top of the 2 big bowls he eats)

*very ticklish

*smiles constantly

*hasn't been the greatest sleeper lately, hes been waking up at 5:45! Mom is not a fan of that.

*wears 12 month clothes

*loves to jump around in his bouncer

*loves to go downstairs and play with all the new toys down there

First Day of Preschool!

Shaylee has been so excited to go to school. She woke up at 6 this morning and came in my room and said "can I go to school now?" LOL Then all morning she kept singing "Im going to school today! Im going to school tooooodaaaaayyy!"

Being that she has never been dropped off to daycare or a babysitter.. I was totally expecting a girl who was going to cling to her mom and cry.. But no way! She walked in the doors and didn't even look back! She of course loved every minute of it!

I was a little sad I must say.. But in the 2 hours she was gone, I got done what would normally take me a whole day to do. Mopped, blinds, vaccum, ect.. (kind of a nice)

Lately..

I wish I could just freeze time. I don't want these kids to grow up. Shaylee is starting preschool and cheer next week. I'm having mixed feelings about it. But I know that she is soooo excited. And she talks about it constantly.
Rowdy is basically mobile. Not doing a real crawl but army crawling, rolling, scooting and doing whatever it takes to get where he wants to be. They really do just grow up way too fast..
